Ribeirão Pires has a virtual exhibition of independent artists –

São Paulo – The city of Ribeirão Pires, in the ABC Paulista region, has until the 21st the Matuta – Independent Graphic and Literary Arts Exhibition. The virtual event, which officially opened yesterday (18), has the participation of more than 50 artists, including editors, graphic artists, photographers, writers, poets, designers and illustrators in the city and also in other places in Greater São Paulo and the Brazil.

Matuta, which organizes the first edition of the event, was created by Pólen Coletiva to recognize and stimulate the production of the local scene, articulating a network for the exchange of experiences between artists. “We are in a territory that is culturally considered to be the periphery and interior of São Paulo, but it is a fertile region that concentrates a huge number of artists and culture makers and that can also be recognized as a cultural and intellectual pole, beyond the axis of the capitals” , says the journalist, cultural producer and one of the creators of Matuta, Paula Lira.

During the event, activities will be promoted such as Fala Matuta, with individual lives with guest artists, and Matutar, which has thematic chat tables on poetry, zine, street art, illustration and photography. Attractions are scheduled, such as vinyl DJing, musical performance and poetry workshops with Tales Jaloretto; zine with Regi Munhoz; storytelling with Cilla Amaral; stencil with Thiago Vaz, and photography with Vinícius Pimenta and Pedro Ladeira. To participate in the workshops, it is necessary to make a prior registration via form, disclosed by the instagram of @feiramatuta.

The event’s program includes the launch of three independent books signed by women. Children’s work Violet, by Cilla Amaral, in partnership with the illustrator Nice Lopes, by Editora Bike de Histórias; the book of poems Between rails, cobblestones and deviations, by Rosângela Vieira, independent publication, without a publisher; and the child The forest that nobody saw, written and illustrated by Ana Monteiro.

The show was scheduled to take place at the Parque Oriental Convention Center – Milton Marinho de Moraes, located on the banks of the Billings dam, but due to the pandemic, it will take place through Instagram and the YouTube channel (youtube / feiramatuta).

Argentine President contaminated by covid-19 and fulfills isolation

São Paulo – The president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, informed on social media that he tested positive for covid-19, after showing symptoms of the disease. He said he is in isolation and has warned people with whom he has had contact in the past 48 hours. And he also reported that he had 37.3ºC of fever, in addition to feeling a slight headache.

The announcement was made this Saturday (3), the day after Fernández turned 62. “For everyone’s information, I am physically well and, although I wanted to end my birthday without this news, I am also in a good mood,” said the president.
